How to Apply for Vietnam E-Visa
Visit Official Website
Go to Vietnam Immigration Department's official e-visa portal. Avoid third-party websites charging extra fees.
Complete Application Form
Fill in personal details, passport information, and travel dates. Upload required documents:
- Passport data page (photo-quality)
- Recent passport photo (4x6cm)
Pay Online
Pay $25 USD using credit or debit card. Fee is non-refundable even if application is rejected.
Receive E-Visa
Processing takes 3 business days. E-visa will be sent to your email. Print it and present at immigration with your passport.
Important Requirements
- • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from entry date
- • E-visa valid for 90 days from specified entry date
- • Single or multiple entry available
- • Valid for all entry points (airports, land borders, seaports)
- • Must enter on or after specified entry date
Visa Extension & Renewal
Need to stay longer in Vietnam? You have several options:
Option 1: Visa Extension
Apply through travel agency in Vietnam. Processing takes 5-7 days.
- 30 days extension: $50-70 USD
- 90 days extension: $100-150 USD
Option 2: Visa Run
Exit Vietnam and re-enter on new visa-free entry or new e-visa. Popular destinations include Cambodia, Thailand, or Laos.
Option 3: Apply for New Visa
Apply for new e-visa or visit Vietnamese embassy while still in Vietnam. Must specify future entry date.
